Thrift Store Mirror Makeover

Oh what a beautiful day we had yesterday here in Tennessee. I spent the morning at the doctor for an OB check up. Listening to a tiny heartbeat will always be one of my favorite sounds in the entire world! I then got to come home and spend the day outside working on this project.....



I got this IKEA framed mirror at one of my favorite thrift stores for only $1



I sanded it down (I'm glad this mirror was small, because it took forever!)



I gave it a coat of high gloss while paint....after it dried, I distressed it a little and added vinyl letters I cut using my Cricut




I added flowers cut from scrapbook paper with my Cricut and covered the entire frame with homemade Mod Podge (1part water to 1 part glue) 


We still have to wait 8 weeks to find out if we are having a girl or boy, but I would love this in a little girl's room. And, I kind of already bought a Pottery Barn crib bumper at a thrift store that would work perfect with this! ( I know I am seriously jumping the gun, but it was only $5, what's a girl to do?)

That frame is absolutely adorable and I agree would be perfect in a little girl's room...or really any room! :-) I cracked up about you having already bough a PB bumper on the chance you might be having a girl. I bought a "girl" stocking the year before my daughter was born! We must be kindred spirits.
