Happy Friday everyone! I have had such a busy week and it's still not over! Field trips, Field day, hosting a baby shower, Mother's day...the list goes on!
I wanted to share a project that I was able to fit in yesterday. I made these pretty push-pins with the help of my number one assistant, he's quite creative!
Here's what you will need to get started: Clear gem stones (dollar tree), push pins (dollar tree) old magazine, Mod Podge, paint brush, Gorilla glue, and scissors
First, choose a picture from your magazine (I went with a flower theme) and trace around the gem stone, cut out and apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the back of the stone (the flat side) and lay your cut magazine piece, picture side down.
The image may look a little cloudy until it dries...but have no fear, it will dry crystal clear in about 25 minutes. After the Mod Podge dries, add a tiny dot of Gorilla Glue to the top of the push pin and press it down on the center of the back of the stone. This will need to dry for a few hours.
After the glue is dried...you are finished!! I just love how pretty they are! Just think of all the different kinds you could make!
