This week I have had a lot of fun....with really bright colors....
No, they aren't for my house, remember I told you that I am afraid of color??
{I am learning to get over that fear, but more on that later}
Today, I want to show you how I made this.....
DIY Magnet Chalkboard
This past week on Facebook I shared a picture of the party favors I had been working on for a super sweet girl....
Her birthday party is this Saturday, and I found that I loved working with these colors so much that I wanted to keep the theme going
I started with this metal Christmas sign that I forgot to put away with the rest of my decorations...Christmas decorations can be sneaky like that.....
I painted it with chalkboard paint....
To add her name I used another transfer trick...first I printed out her name in the size and font that I liked.....
Next, I turned the image over and colored in with chalk....
after that I put the image right side up on the chalkboard and wrote over the words in pencil. I was left with a perfect transfer to paint in her name...
once I got it all painted in, I made some matching magnets... I have done something like this before, you can read about that HERE
So....what do you think?
And because I was having so much fun, and my paints were already out, I painted a fun zebra striped picture for her too....
I had more fun than I should be allowed to, haha! I sure do hope she likes it!
