Pinned it
Made it
Now, I gotta get the T-shirt....
I added, to my every growing list of boards on pinterest, a
board
We are already 21 days into January...it was time I got started!
I started with a project that didn't have me running out to the store to buy supplies...
Inspired by THIS PIN , I made.....
Valentine's Day Scratch off Messages.....
I started by using Picnik (soooo sad that they are doing away with my beloved Picnik) to create a few sweet little cards, I printed them out on card stock...
Next, although the tutorial called for contact paper, (I didn't have any) so instead, I used matte finish scotch tape to tape off the center square where the message will be hidden....
Then, it was time to paint over the message...I used 1 part liquid dish washing detergent to 2 parts gray acrylic paint
I painted over the messages and let them dry....{well, I actually used the blow dryer to dry them, I'm a little impatient at times}
As you can see, they aren't perfect...a few bubbles here and there, but my little Valentine sure did love them!
Overall...I am pretty happy with my first pinterest project of 2012!
So.....do tell....
have you tackled any pinterest projects yet?
I've already got all the supplies for my next one...stay tuned ;)
